Entraine is a native iOS app for ready-mix concrete plants and QC technicians. It stores mix designs, logs air tests, suggests air-entraining admixture (AEA) doses from local history, and can optionally share one plant book through a company code. Entraine is construction quality-control software. It is not a medical device and does not provide health, clinical, or patient advice.
The full policy also ships inside the app (Settings → Privacy Policy) so it can be read offline.
What we collect and where it lives
On your iPhone (default)
Most Entraine data stays in the app’s local store on the device:
- Plants, mix designs, QC air results, admixture logs, and notes
- Cylinder cast and pickup records
- Customers and job sites
- Photos of delivery tickets, batch weights, or an air meter, taken or picked only when you tap Scan or attach. QC photos stay on your iPhone; use Export QC to include them.
- Documents you scan or import on Docs (mix notes, job specs, calibrations, safety sheets)
- Weather snapshots for a plant (temperature, humidity, wind) so Suggest and Log QC can show conditions
- Optional app lock with Face ID / Touch ID or a yard PIN. Biometrics are evaluated by iOS; Entraine never receives or uploads Face ID data.
- Location, used only when you tap Use current location to pin a plant yard or cylinder cast. Entraine does not track employees or publish a crew map.
Deleting the app deletes this local store. Installing an update over the top keeps your data.
Optional company share
Solo use needs no account. If you create or join a company with a company code, Entraine uses Sign in with Apple and syncs the shared plant book through Apple CloudKit (iCloud). Company-synced data can include plants, mixes, QC rows (numbers and notes, not ticket or meter photos), cylinders, directory names, a company logo, and company documents. Each company’s book is isolated from every other company. There are no roles, duty clocks, crew GPS, or employee tracking.
Optional personal iCloud backup
Settings → iCloud backup can write a snapshot of your personal plant book, personal QC history, and settings to your private iCloud database for recovery after a reinstall. It is not live multi-device sync. It does not include company data, your photo library, Face ID data, the yard PIN, or purchase receipts. QC photos are left out unless you turn on Include QC photos (off by default).
Anonymized QC learning (off by default)
Settings → Privacy → Improve suggestions with anonymized QC is off until you turn it on and confirm a consent prompt. When on, Entraine may send stripped, anonymized feature rows so dose suggestions can improve across users. Rows wait in a local queue and leave the phone only while the switch stays on.
What may be sent: day of year and season (no clock time); ambient and concrete temperature and humidity; measured air, target-air midpoint and air error; air-entrained or not; rock size bucket; slump; AEA dose and baseline; ice, chilled-water, and hot-water use; haul-time band; cement and fly-ash class when known (not the recipe); admixture kind with an anonymous product hash; a coarse 1° climate bucket; and an opaque per-install plant key.
What is never sent: customer, job, ticket, truck, or tester names or IDs; photos or file names; notes, addresses, mix codes, recipe weights, or batch weights; company or plant names or IDs; brand or product names; exact GPS; clock time. Demo and sample rows are never queued.
Retention and deletion
- QC auto-purge: Settings → Privacy → Auto-purge QC after. Default 7 years for QC air tests on your iPhone and 3 years for the anonymized queue (choices: Off, 1, 3, 5, 7, or 10 years). Only aged QC rows and their photos are purged; plants, mixes, customers, jobs, cylinders, and documents stay.
- Export: Settings → Export QC data builds a ZIP on your iPhone. It leaves the phone only if you share it.
- Solo: delete the Entraine app to erase local data. A personal iCloud backup stays in your iCloud until you delete it with your Apple ID.
- Company member: Settings → Delete my company account signs you out and wipes that company’s data from your iPhone. Email wrap-basemen.9y@icloud.com to remove company data from iCloud.

Weather and address requests carry only a location or place query, with no Entraine account. There is no advertising SDK, no third-party analytics or tracking SDK, and no sale of personal data. This website uses no scripts, cookies, or trackers.
Permissions
- Camera — when you tap Scan: read a delivery ticket, batch weights, or an air meter; capture Docs pages; keep QC photos with a test.
- Photo library — optional company logo, a ticket or meter picture you pick, or pages you import into Docs.
- Location When In Use — pin a plant yard or cylinder cast when you tap Use current location. Optional; core QC works without it.
- Face ID — optional app lock. Stays on the device.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold only through Apple In-App Purchase. Entraine does not unlock features through an outside website. Restore Purchases is on the paywall.
Children
Entraine is built for adult plant and QC work and is not directed at children under 13.
Safety
Entraine gives estimates only. Always confirm air content with a fresh ASTM C231 or C173 test. The project QC plan, spec, and Engineer of Record govern. Stay within the admixture manufacturer’s dose limits.
Data sources and credits
- Apple Weather — some weather and alert data. Weather data provided by Apple Weather; see Apple Weather data sources.
- Open-Meteo — plant weather forecasts and place search. Weather data by Open-Meteo.com, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
- OpenStreetMap — address lookup through Nominatim. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- RainViewer — optional radar tiles. Radar imagery by RainViewer.
- National Weather Service — optional U.S. severe-weather alerts from weather.gov (public domain).
Changes
We update this page and the in-app copy when practices change. The date at the top shows the current version.
